RONDO Double Dutch

Coach Twist has been mastering the art of Double Dutch for over 40 years. Born in the 1970's she grew up in a generation that brought Double Dutch to the heart of Black culture. Her background as a physical fitness  instructor has equipped her with the skills to be a phenomal coach, and she has taught hundreds of people, spanning all ages and backgrounds, how to Double Dutch!

Mizz Mercedez is the visionary behind RONDO Double Dutch, which began as a community event and quickly grew into a team uniting members from across the Twin Cities. As the mastermind behind the camera lens, she captures the magical moments that RONDO Double Dutch brings to life. 

Derae is a stay-at-home wife, mom of two and proud caretaker of 20 houseplants. Derae brings warmth and energy into everything she does. With a background in teaching children and a deep love for them, she's dedicated to creating a nurturing and inspiring home environment. You'll often find her singing or dancing to any beat that comes her way!

Kara is an economist with a passion for jump rope. Through this hobby, she's had incredible experiences- from teaching jump rope in Herald Square, NYC, to performing in Russia, and even appearing in an Adidas commercial!

Sequoya is a licensed social worker, mother of two, and an avid traveler. She's been double dutching since childhood in her hometown of Flint, Michigan, and continues to find joy and energy through it. For Sequoya, double dutch is more than a skill- it's a way to keep her youthful spirit alive!

Robyn specializes in healthcare and education and is a dedicated mother of 6. Originally from New Jersey, she brings a fresh perspective and a whole new level of skills to our team. With her crazy footwork and passion for supporting the community, Robyn is a vibrant asset to all she does!

Jocelyn is a devoted mother of two and grandmother of two, as well as a master gardener, social scientist, and herbalist hailing from the Northside of Minneapolis She takes great pride in her Northside community and has a deep love for her garden. Her commitment to a healthy lifestyle has also prepared her to be one of our longest jumpers!

Sydney is a future leader whose drive and dedication to learning inspire the younger kids around her. With a old soul and a heart full of love, she embodies the qualities of a true role model. Keep an eye on her- she's destined for greatness!

Nakia is the granddaughter of Coach Twist, carrying forward a legacy of Double Dutch excellence. With double dutch running in her bloodline, she's destined to be this generation's future double dutch champion!

Syla, daughter of Sequoya, is a true reflection of her mom's skills. A talented dancer, she brings her own flair to the double dutch ropes, jumping in style with her fancy moves!

GiGi, daugther of Robyn, jumps skillfully just like her momma. Always up for a challenge, she's ready to battle anyone on the ropes, showcasing her talent and determination in every leap!
